Stonewall Democrats of So. Nevada Lead the Way on Concervation
About a week ago we started a new page on the site, Conservation Tips, see the navigation button to the left. We’d like to think the NSDP and the DNC agreed with us. Our planet is hurting because of global warming…alone we can not promote change but together we can make a huge difference; the planet needs a serious fluffing up and who better than the LGBT Community, the experts of fluffing things up?
The following are excerpts from an email from both the NSDP and the DNC:
NSDP/CCDP:
” SATURDAY, JULY 28: Democrats around the nation will participate in an effort to clean up our environment!
LAS VEGAS: Did you know that by replacing just one typical incandescent light bulb with an energy efficient compact fluorescent light you prevent about a HALF A TON of CO2 from entering our earth’s atmosphere?
Clark County Democrats are asking you to bring an energy efficient light bulb to the Clark County Central Committee meeting Saturday, July 28th, at state party HQ, 1210 S. Valley View, Suite 114 in Las Vegas. Even if you are not participating in the meeting, the state party office will be open from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. so you can drop off your light bulbs.”
DNC:
On July 28th, take an afternoon to clean up a park. Plant a tree. Hold a recycling drive. And while you're there, talk to your neighbors, make new friends, and start planting the seeds for a Democratic victory in 2008.
